The Delaware County Common Pleas Court has received funding from the Supreme Court of Ohio to implement text messaging reminders for certain hearing types. You may sign up to receive text reminders if you fall under either or both of the following categories:
- Juvenile Court: If you are a parent or legal custodian named in a Complaint for Abuse/Neglect/Dependent Children
- General Division: If you are a defendant on a criminal case
A text reminder of the date and time of the next hearing would be sent 7 days and then 1 day prior to your next scheduled hearing. Please note that if you have multiple cases before Delaware County Common Pleas Court, you will receive text reminders on each case. Future enhancements might include text notifications for hearings that are cancelled or moved to another date. Currently, you will not be notified by text if your hearing has been cancelled or moved to another date or time. Therefore, you must review Court entries for hearing dates and times as you are responsible for the information contained in those documents. This text reminder service does not legally replace the written Court order.
Standard message and data charges from your carrier may apply when receiving text messages. Please provide notification to Court staff upon change of your phone number.
